NEeMA (Folk / Pop / Dub)

Image NEeMA has just completed her second album,Watching You Think, a collection of twelve stories seamlessly melding elements of world music, folk, and jazz with a good measure of pop. Produced in association with Leonard Cohen and Pierre Marchand (Sarah McLachlanRon Sexsmith), Watching You Think contains songs of love, life and simple observations that read like parables and sound instantly familiar to listeners who will find themselves singing along effortlessly by the second chorus.

FRANK LINDO (Soul/Blues/R&B)

Living Legend” are the first words which come to mind when describing this unique and dynamic entertainer. Frank Lindo evokes positive crowd responses as he performs to audiences internationally.

What could be better than dancing to the sweet soul sounds of The Four Tops, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson? Dancing to them live! Especially so, when they’re performed by Mr. Frank “Too Tall” Lindo and his classic R&B/Soul Revue. Frank, decked out in black tie and tails, bowler hat and patent leather shoes, is a striking figure. But it’s his voice that really hits home. He has that raspy, whiskey-laced voice that is the signature of all great soul singers, from Otis Redding to Chuck Jackson to Ben E. King. And he handles the vocal stylization of these soul legends like a major league hurler who’s in total control of an arsenal of beguiling pitches. One, two, three strikes and you’re out dancing and grooving to a truly soulful beat.

Frank began his professional career as an R&B / Motown Artist in the Caribbean Island of Barbados. As a teenager, he began singing in the church choir and then realized he had the talent and ability to take his performance to a wider audience. Mr. Lindo is influenced by black American singers such as David Ruffin (Temptations) and Ray Charles. Frank’s flair for originality and stylish creativity are just a couple of reasons he was one of the founders of “Stone Soul Picnic”, a popular Ottawa band from the late 1980′s until recently. However, his considerable musical talent is once again exciting audiences across the globe with his dynamic new R&B band, Ottawa’s own …. With Frank Lindo you would hear some of the best songs of Soul music.
